ABSTRACT ART
When I begin an abstract painting, I have a concept that pours out of me as spontaneous painting. As the work evolves with layer after layer of paint, the original idea is condensed and simplified until just the raw essence is exposed.

REPRESENTATIONAL ART
My representational art is filled with personal references and memories of significant moments in my life, large or small. It may be a place, a person, or an element of nature I found inspirational. My hope is that the image touches the common human thread that connects us all.
